Long Time, No Blogging... Until Now!

It's been so long since I've taken time to blog about our great shop... I don't even know where to start! Since the ribbon-cutting and adding of our formal room, we've moved our entire shop to a new location! 508 16th Street Ashland, KY 41101 It's just around the corner from our previous location and were very pleased with the progress of getting it up and running since the middle of July.

A little about our new place... It's a converted home into clothing boutique! Hardwood floors and tall ceilings add much character to your experience here, we find ourselves frequently talking about the woodwork as much as our great jewelry selections and new gift boutique! Yep... we opened that up too! We are highlighting Kentucky artisans from paintings to hair bows and Applecreek Orchard foods to hand-cut paper art! These items have been a joy to display and discuss too with our patrons.

We have had a few hosted gatherings at our place for fundraisers and enjoyed every minute of them! Meeting new people from our community with the same interests in building a better place for us to call home and finding some neat products along the way... feel free to contact us to use our new place as a hostess location! We would love to provide that for you and your guests.

Tomorrow: Ribbon Cutting & Big Sale!

We are so thankful for our friends at the Ashland Alliance to welcome our boutique with open arms. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tomorrow, March 29th at 4pm. We will have some refreshments and goodies, but most importantly, we will give all "Sisters" an additional 15% off their purchases! And the new, with-tag items we are so thrilled to have from South Carolina are going to be an additional 30% Off!

We have been so blessed with the continued support of the community and our friends with the opening and operation of Sisters, we thank everyone who has been in to visit/shop already! And those yet to come, you don't want to miss the pretty event tomorrow! It will be short and sweet, but to the point of 15% off!

Too, our formal and cocktail dress collection has grown so much we've added on a room! Come check it out, with gala and prom coming up this will be a sure fit for anyone!

Special THANKS to our loving friends for their hard work in helping us achieve our vision for Sisters!

Welcome to our Blog! We have the keys & have chosen "Sisters" to be our name!

Hello blog world & friends, I am Kena, co-owner of the new Sisters Consignment Boutique of Ashland, Kentucky. The other owner is my Mom, Kelly! We have recently chosen to purchase the existing shop from a dear friend and make it our own, we're looking forward to serving our area and friends from afar. I have had great feedback from my friends living out of state wanting to ship items, just as soon as they can find time to dive into their closets!

We chose the name "Sisters" because of my only sibling, Kate, who has called me "Sister" the whole eight years of her fun, little life.  My mother's best friends, as well as mine too, all refer to each other as "Sister"... it only seemed to fit! We plan on having the shop completely renovated and open with our new hours for March 1st!

Why a Consignment Boutique? Why not! I can't remember a moment in my life that I haven't loved clothes. And if it wasn't clothes, it was shoes and handbags because they always fit and the sizes stay the same no matter what you've been eating! In loving clothes and accessories, there has to be a theory of wearing the trends you enjoy and dream of, consigning is today's answer to having the high fashion look on a Target budget. And we love Target! But this shop will be more about name brands with successful trends and strong basics.

I am looking forward to managing this blog as a way to stay in touch with our clients and friends, share some stories that will introduce you into my world of fashion and consigning, get some feedback on ideas I have for "closet clean-out" parties and keep Sisters Consignment Boutique news up-to-date for our followers & consignors!

Mom, Kate and I, look forward to meeting all of you that can come visit and shop, or just consign, well send you a check every month to cash and take to the mall for the new trends you're dying to have!

Thanks, "Sister Consignor"
